Almost everything in Gruvi is reached from the narrow strip down the left-hand side of the screen. This article walks through it.
What a workspace is
A workspace is your company's own copy of Gruvi. It holds your conversations, your customers, your team, your settings and your AI assistant. Nothing in it is visible to any other company.
The workspace name sits at the very top of the sidebar, with your plan next to it. If you belong to more than one workspace, this is where you swap between them.
The sidebar, top to bottom
The sidebar is in four parts: the workspace name, a Platform group, an Agents group, and a set of links at the bottom.
If the sidebar is showing icons only, click the toggle at the top to widen it and see the labels. It is worth doing while you are learning the names.
The five Platform sections
- Inbox
- Every customer conversation. This is where you will spend nearly all your time.
- Customers
- The people and companies who have contacted you, with their history and details. A short version of the same thing appears in the thread details panel while you are reading a conversation.
- Knowledge Sources
- The material your AI answers from: scanned websites, uploaded documents and articles you write. It also has a Gaps view showing questions your knowledge could not answer.
- Skills
- Things your AI can do beyond writing, such as looking up an order or making a change in another system. It has a store of ready-made skills, plus Your skills, Activity and Suggestions.
- Insights
- How your support is doing: response times, resolution times, satisfaction ratings and how much work the AI is carrying.
Your agents
Below Platform is the Agents group. Your AI assistant, Chloe, lives here. Clicking her name opens three areas: Talk with Chloe for asking her about your workspace, Training for teaching her, and Settings for deciding how much she is allowed to do.
The bottom of the sidebar
- Upgrade
- Your plan and billing.
- Feature Wall
- Features you can ask for or vote on.
- What's new
- Recent changes to Gruvi.
- Settings
- Everything about how your workspace is configured.
- Your profile
- Right at the bottom, with your name, your email address and your presence. Presence is the small Active marker that tells colleagues whether you are around.
What lives in Settings
Settings has its own sidebar, grouped into five areas. There is a search box at the top, and pressing / jumps into it.
- Workspace
- Name & visuals (including your logo, brand colour and business hours), Plans & billing, Notifications, Security, and Danger zone.
- Members
- Members, Invites, Roles & permissions, Presence, and Teams.
- Threads
- Threads, Composer, Canned Replies, Thread Labels, and Thread Properties.
- Customers
- Customer Labels, Company Labels, Customer Properties, Company Properties, and Blocked Customers.
- Channels
- Live Chat, Email, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
