Slash commands and drafting replies with Chloe

Two keys in the composer, # and /, hand the writing to Chloe without leaving the conversation.

You do not need to leave a thread to get Chloe's help. Two characters typed into the composer bring her in.

    What a command is

A command is a shortcut you type rather than click. In the composer, typing a particular character at the start of the box opens a menu.

The composer tells you which ones: Reply to customer... (/ for Chloe, # for replies and shortcuts).

    The three agent actions

Type # at the start of the composer and a menu opens. The top section is Agent actions. These are three set jobs you can hand to Chloe.

    #chloe.reply
Chloe reads the thread and drafts a reply for you.
    #chloe.summarize
Chloe writes a short summary of the conversation. Worth doing on a long thread you have just been handed.
    #chloe.rewrite
Chloe takes the draft you have already typed and tidies it up, keeping your meaning.
#chloe.rewrite is the most underrated of the three. Type a rough, blunt answer in ten seconds, then let Chloe make it presentable.

How to use an agent action

    1. 1Open a thread and click inside the composer box.
    2. 2Type #. The menu appears.
    3. 3Choose the action you want.
    4. 4Chloe works, and her text appears in the composer as a draft.
    5. 5Read it. Edit anything that is wrong or does not sound like you.
    6. 6Send it in the normal way.

For #chloe.rewrite, type your rough version first. It needs something to work with.

    Moving around the menu

    • and move through the options.
    • Enter chooses the highlighted one.
    • Esc closes the menu without doing anything.

    Canned replies

Below the agent actions, the same # menu lists your canned replies. These are answers your team has written and agreed on, for questions you get over and over.

A canned reply is fixed text, not AI. It goes in exactly as written, which is what you want for anything where the wording matters.

If you have not written any yet, the menu tells you so and offers you a link to create your first. They live in Settings, under Threads and then Canned Replies.

Asking Chloe in your own words

The three agent actions cover the common jobs. Typing / at the start of the composer instead lets you ask Chloe for something specific, in your own words, rather than picking from the list.

    Always read before you send

Everything Chloe produces here is a draft in your composer. Nothing goes to the customer until you send it.

So read it properly. Check the facts, check it answers what was actually asked, and change anything that does not sound like your company. If a draft misses, tell her so. The reply goes out under your name, not hers.

Chloe's drafts are only as good as what she has been given. If her replies keep missing, the fix is usually a knowledge source or a guided answer, not a better command. ---
