Gruvi is built to be worked from the keyboard. This is the whole list, but you do not need to memorise it. The same list is always one key away on screen.

The list inside Gruvi

1Press Cmd+/ on a Mac, or Ctrl+/ on Windows.
2A panel opens headed Keyboard Shortcuts, with a search box.
3Type what you are looking for to filter it.
4Press Esc to close.

It is also linked at the bottom of the Settings sidebar. Because it is searchable, looking a shortcut up is often quicker than remembering it.

Thread actions

These act on the conversation you have open.

A: Assign thread.
M: Assign to me.
L: Toggle labels.
I: Thread details.
Z: Snooze thread.
Shift+Z: Unsnooze thread.
Cmd+Shift+S: Change thread status.

M is the one that pays off fastest. Assigning to yourself before you start typing is the habit that stops duplicate replies, and a single key removes every excuse not to.

Changing the status

Status works in two steps: press Cmd+Shift+S first, then one of these.

R: Resolve.
S: Mark as spam.
C: Close thread.
O: Reopen thread.

The same four letters are shown beside the options when you open the status menu with the mouse, so you learn them without trying.

J: Next thread.
K: Previous thread.
G then I: Go to inbox.
G then C: Go to customers.
G then K: Go to knowledge sources.
G then L: Go to skills.
G then N: Go to insights.
G then S: Go to settings.

The G shortcuts are two presses, not a combination: press G, release, then the second letter.

The composer

These work while you are writing a reply.

R: Reply, putting the cursor in the composer.
Cmd+Shift+P: Note mode, for a private note.
Cmd+Shift+O: Open the slash menu.
Cmd+Shift+A: Attach a file.
Cmd+Shift+E: Emoji picker.
Cmd+Shift+M: Voice message.
Cmd+Shift+D: Transcribe my speech.
Cmd+J: Switch AI agent.

R appears twice: as Reply here, and as Resolve in the status group. They do not clash, because Resolve only applies after you have pressed Cmd+Shift+S.

General

/: Search. Works in the inbox, in Settings and in Knowledge Sources.
Cmd+K: Open the command palette.
Cmd+/: Show keyboard shortcuts.
Cmd+.: Notifications.
Esc: Dismiss whatever is open.

Mac and Windows

Anything written here with Cmd uses Ctrl on Windows and Linux. Single-letter shortcuts are the same everywhere.

When a shortcut does nothing

Almost always because focus is somewhere else.

You are typing in a box. Single letters type characters rather than firing shortcuts. Press Esc first.
No thread is open. Thread actions need a conversation to act on.
You pressed G and a letter together. The G shortcuts are two separate presses.
The action does not apply. Unsnoozing a thread that is not snoozed does nothing.
